Lobos Views is a stunning modern abode in the Carmel Highlands that embodies class and elegance. Overlooking the Bay and Point Lobos, the 6,414 square foot home is constructed of stone and exposed wood, giving it an earthy, natural feel as well as the effect of being nestled into the hillside. The selected site was steep and oriented east/west towards other development. In order to take advantage of the view to the north and the solar exposure to the south, the firm terraced the site and created a base for a cantilevered living space. By recessing more than half of the created square footage into the hillside, the firm also created flat, usable yard space. The remaining roofs are all planted to mitigate the visual impact of the structure for all who look down on it from above.
